Hey fam! What?? No way!! The ward's
changed?? That's pretty lame!! Oh well, it sounds like you have a great group to
lead the new ward though so it will all be just fine! No I didn't get transfered
thank goodness!! I love my ward so much!! Unfortunately my companion, Elder
Lindeman, did get transfered. Big bummer cause I love him to death! I don't have
like any time because of tranfers so I gotta make this one quick. Mom, you asked
me what I did for conference, well we aren't allowed to go to member's houses
for conference so I just went to the stake center. I loved elder holland's
talk... of course cause he's awesome!! My new companion is Elder Clark, he seems
like a great guy but I don't really know him yet haha. The work this week has
been going really well. We have worked super hard, gotten a few new
investigators, and we're hoping to see some baptisms here in the next few
weeks!! I love you guys so much!! Hope you all have a super fantastic
week!!

Hello Brimhall Family!!! Wow it really
looks like a great year for duck hunting!! That's so rediculous! haha!! The door
looks awesome!! Nope it doesn't bug me at all! Ahh yes! If you can send me a
couple items in the next box that would be awesome!! I don't need jeans, but I
could definitely use a beanie and a scripture case! My scripture case should be
in the top left drawer of the black dresser by the bathroom!! Thank you so
much!! and you can just send it to the mission office please!! All boxes are
suppose to go to the mission office an most letters too! This week is transfer
week, so everything sent here should be sent to the mission office just in case
I get transfered. I shouldn't get transfered, but you know, just in case. The
work here is kind of slow going. We have a lot of our investigators
back-sliding. We are working super hard and trying to be diligent in everything
we do!! We found a couple more new investigators this week, but we haven't
really been able to get ahold of them since, so hopefully we'll be able to this
week. I miss you guys a ton! You can tell haha I sent letters to all of you
haha! Things are tough of course, but that is where faith and diligence comes
in. Just gotta keep working hard and doing my best and let the Lord take care of
the rest. You know what they say, hard work is just another name for
luck ;) I've come to find that the times that I get to sit down and read from
the Book of Mormon are my very favorite times of the day! Keep reading fam! That
book truly contains messages from God on how to improve your life!! Heavenly
Father speaks to me most often through the scriptues! I love it!! Love you guys
so much!! Have a great week!!!
Love, Elder Brimhall!!

Hey fam!!
Sissy I am so so proud of you for
your baptism!! You are so amazing and I hope that you had such a great time!!
I'm glad to hear that things at home are going well for all of you!!! I love and
miss you guys all so much!! So two years ago, a member of the quorum of the
seventy came to this mission and told the missionaries that if they worked with
all they had and were exactly obedient to the mission rules that one day they
would baptize 100 people in one month. Since then, they have gotten mid 80's and
lower even though they were trying hard. Well in the month of september after
much prayer and hard work we had 101 baptisms!!! Our whole mission was so
excited!! It feels really great when you know that you have accomplised
something hard like that!! It took every single missionary in our mission being
their best to make this happen!! What a wonderful event!! This month we are
hoping for even more than that! Why the heck didn't grant email me this week??
Go kick his butt, will ya? haha. Being out here is most definitely the hardest
thing I have ever had to do, but I know that this is where the Lord wants me, so
I stay here and just try my best to keep working hard! I think about you all all
the time!! I'm gonna write you guys some handwritten letters in the mail this
week I think!! I got the box you sent!! Thank you so so much!!! I loved it!!
Haha yes I am getting plenty to eat haha!! The funny thing is that right when I
ran out of instant breakfasts, I got your box that had more in it haha so thank
you so much!! Thank you for the picture sis!!! I loved it!! I love you all so so
much and hope you have a fantastic week!!! Love you guys!!
Love, Elder Brimhall!! :)

Well first things first, thank you so so much for all of you writing me!! I love hearing about how everybody is doing!! But things are going alright around here haha no I don't feel unsafe at all from where I'm living. I live in a city called Federal Way, so I'm technically not directly in Seattle right now, haha but I have not seen a drop of rain since I got here haha but right now Washington is breaking it's all time record for longest time without rain! So that's pretty cool haha it's been way warm. Yes we literally run from house to house for 2 or more hours every day!! My body is in like a state of over exhaustion haha I am so drained but that's what it's all about!! I've only been here for a week and I can already say that a mission is one of the hardest things somebody can ever endure in this life, but it is extremely rewarding!! It was really super awkward walking up to random people on the street at first haha cause most of them just get mad at you, but some of them are pleasant to talk to! Haha. It gets easier by th day though :) We actually had a really old guy the other day haha, we walked up to him and introduced ourselves and this guy was like 80 years old, but he wasn't very nice haha we asked him if he had a belief in God, and he just turned around and yelled "that's none of your "bleeping" business!!" crazy guy. haha oh well!! So on saturday I performed three child of record baptisms! haha what that means is that they are 8 years old, but their dads aren't worthy to baptize them, so they call th missionaries!! That was fun for me, but really sad for those dads who were wishing that they were the ones in the font with their little boy or little girl :( But yeah things are going good!! We have a few people who we are teaching and want to be baptized, but they are just having a hard time with some things, like most of them are trying to quit smoking first, so that's hard for them! Well I love you guys so so much!! I'm trying to send pictures, but this computer won't let me!! Sorry!! Love you guys and have a great week!!!! If you want something to read in the scriptures, I love 1 Nephi 18!! My favorite verses are 3, 15-16, and 21!! Love you!!

Day 2 in Seattle!!
Sept. 5, 2012
Hey family!! Seattle is going super great!! This is my second day here!!
I've already talked to tons of random people off the street and a lot of people
are willing to listen, so it's going really great!! Just so you know I don't
know my address exactly, but my companion, Elder Lindeman, told me that we
shouldn't have you send anything directly anyways because of the area around
here is kinda sketchy, so just send it to the mission home and the zone leaders
will go get it and bring it to us. The address of the mission home is in my
mission call, so hopefully you kept that! haha. But yeah, how are things going
over there?? I hope things are good!! Things here are good, I don't know what
i'm doing half the time, there's already good and bad times, but I try to just
focus on the good! :) There literally has not been a single cloud in the sky
since I got here haha. They said this is washington's longest dry streak ever
haha!! But I know i shouldn't get used to it because just as soon as things
come, they can go. I miss you guys!! Like I said, my companion is named elder
Lindeman, he is like six foot three and like 290, but hes a great guy!! He has
been out a little over a year, like 14 months or so. He really knows his stuff
really well! :) How's school going? And work? And play time? Are you getting
some good play time in too?? Haha I hope so, it's just as important to play as
it is to work!! I live in a little tiny apartment in the ghetto haha!! So fun!
But my companion is the district leader so we do get the car this transfer, but
all that means is that we drive to a part of town, park, and then run run run!
And when I say run, i mean it 100% literally. We do not walk or lolligag in the
Washington Seattle mission, we run from door to door, neighborhood to
neighborhood, with strength and purpose!! Definitely will get some exercise
during my mission!! I haven't even gotten to take any pictures or go shopping
or anything yet because I have been busy from the moment I stepped off the
plane!! I had lunch at the mission home yesterday, but all i've eaten since
then was a peanut butter sandwich because we have been too busy to even go to
the store!! But don't worry, We're going to the store sometime tonight to get
some food haha!! I'm just in the King county library right now, just sittin on a
laptop! My tracting/contacting skills are like zero I have found out, but
hopefully they will get better with time :) I certainly hope so! I am excited to
be here in seattle where the Lord has called me to be a servant to these
people!! I hope and pray that I can be a tool in the Lord's hand in improving
their lives and bringing them closer to Christ! That is my purpose, the reason
I'm here at all. I love you all so much and pray that you all can come closer to
Christ while I am coming closer to Him. By the way, my P-day is on mondays, so I
'll write next then:) Love you guys!! Have a great week!!
Love, Elder
Brimhall
